Richard "Waldo"

1.  What was your best memory of the 1960/70's music scene?

My best memories of that time period is just the freshness, the newness...the
unpredictability of what was to come next.  It was all so exciting!  Just loved so
much of the music.  Was really into the British Invasion and then the L.A. music
scene.  I am a graduate of Fairfax High School, 1968.  The Byrds, Bobby Fuller
Four played when I was in attendance.  The school was abuzz musically.  Phil
Spector is a graduate of Fairfax..and there were many other musically inclined
folks who went there.  I just liked the whole scene.  I was raised in a strict home, so I missed out on quite a bit...couldn't really hang out on the Sunset Strip during it's heyday...until I was 18.  OK..so some fav. memories...seeing
the Mothers of Invention numerous times and never paying over $3.50 for a show!
I loved that band.  Also Pink Floyd at the Hollywood Bowl in 1972 just blew my
mind!

Pink Floyd as mentioned above..also..Kinks at Santa Monica   Civic circa 1972
