Wally Wilson
Leon Russel, Marc Benno...etc

1.  What was your best memory of the 1960/70's music scene?

There were so many.  Sitting in the studio and watching the Stones play a shuffle comes to mind.  Playing bass with an extremely drunk Jimmy Reed.  Hanging out at Leon Russell’s studio at his house in L.A. and having the opportunity to see and hear how music should be played from some of the best musicians on the planet.  A million other memories from back then.

2.  What was the best gig?

Maybe The Fox Theatre in Atlanta.  Always packed to the rafters and those Georgia women….

3.  Bands you were/are in or working with?

Leon Russell, Marc Benno, The Outcasts, Le Cirque…that was in the sixties….I have worked with many, many major acts since then….all the old R&B guys:   Chuck Berry, Jimmy Reed, Bo Diddley, etc.  Then in Nashville, everybody here.  Still.

4.  What are you doing now?

I am a producer, publisher, songwriter in Nashville.  Have been lucky enough to stay in the music business and have some hits.

5.  What are your three favorite albums and/or bands from the 60's & 70's?

Let It Bleed by the Rolling Stones - Music From Big Pink by the Band - Highway 61 Revisited by Bob Dylan

6.  What's your version of the "dream band"?

The original Muddy Waters band comes close, with Willie Dixon on bass.

7.  Describe yourself in 4 words.

I have an idea.

8.  Favorite meal?

A beautiful blonde and a bottle of wine.

9.  What would you set straight in this world if you could?

Oust the current set of fools that occupy Washington, and more importantly, rid the U.S. congress of corporate lobbyists.

10.  Famous last words?  How would you recommend people get a hold of you?  Email address? Web page?
