1.  What was your best memory of the 1960/70's music scene?

I do not remember the 60's or 70's.

2.  What was the best gig?

Playing for 500,000 people in San Francisco at a peace rally on acid which turned out to be a communist plot.

3.  Bands you were/are in or working with?

My favorite band I was ever in was Hardly Small probably because I really feel it was my band.  There were various bands called Hardly Small and they all  rocked hard.  If you remember Morgana...I got that name from one of Led Zeppelin's roadies at the Rainbow Grill one night.

4.  What are you doing now?

I am currently playing with Chuck Ruff,  the best ever and my favorite drummer, in his band called the Chuck Ruff Group. Someday something good is going to happen.

5.  What are your three favorite albums and/or bands from the 60's & 70's?

The first album that totally blew my mind was "Are You Experienced" by Jimi Hendrix. Bill Church had told me he was totally magical and when he played me the album we got so stoned I thought he was playing backwards and it turns out he was.

Next would be Led Zeppelin. Chuck Ruff and I hitch hiked to San Francisco on acid and ended up on Haight Street in some round room filled with mattresses covered with dog and cat shit. Every where we went Led Zeppelin was pounding in your head.

My third one  would be "Montrose". Although I love nearly all the music on it, it saddens me to realize that my name is on the album and Ronnie and Sammy just decided to deal me out of my royalties. Certainly it would not of  been any skin off of their ass about the money but Ronnie Montrose decided to tell me one night at a Lynrd Skynrd concert that I was lucky to even have my name on the album. I 've got alot of witnesses.

6.  What's your version of the "dream band"?

My version of a dream band is to play with the few people that never pissed me off.

7.  Describe yourself in 4 words.

Older, Happy, Rockin, Waitin'

8.  Favorite meal?

Anything that my wife cooks up for dinner, when you meet Wendy you will understand where I'm at.

9.  What would you set straight in this world if you could?

I'm not kidding you about Ronnie Montrose who burned me for my royalties on his first album, which turned out to be big. He gave me his word at Chuck's wedding that he would take care of me and in return I received nothing.  I know a couple of people in my situation and if I could I would make sure beginning  or accomplished song writers would  not have to go through
rejection or humiliation.
